No juicer? No problem. With the Vibe Blender System, you don’t need a dedicated juicer to make fresh fruit and vegetable juice at home. This green juice is the perfect option for those who want to enjoy the benefits of fresh juice without the hassle of owning a bulky, single use appliance. Simply blend the ingredients together, strain the juice, and voila- a refreshing and nutrient-packed juice in minutes.
Blender green juice is packed with whole, nutrient-rich ingredients like cucumber, celery, green apples, and lemon, - it’s the perfect blend of fruits and vegetables to promote detoxification, enhance skin health and boost your energy. Most importantly, it tastes refreshing and delicious and so much cheaper than your local juice bar!
This blender juice recipe is flexible and forgiving. Once you get the process down you can experiment with the ingredients and ratios. A kiwi fruit, a handful of fresh parsley or a tip of fresh ginger are delicious extras to try.
Juice is the liquid part of fruits and vegetables. It’s made by extracting the liquid from the rest of the plant. Drinking a juice is like taking a delicious liquid vitamin full of micronutrients. With all the insoluble fibre removed, juices are much thinner than smoothies. They are easy on the digestion system and excellent for hydration.
A smoothie is a blend of fruits and vegetables, (and other ingredients) with nothing removed. If you are more of a smoothie person, you can enjoy this blend of greens with all the fibre left in, just like a smoothie. If you want authentic juice, you’ll need to strain out the pulp. You might also like to try this high fibre, gut loving green smoothie.
Traditional juicers can be tricky and time consuming to clean. When juicing in the Vibe Blender, clean-up is simple. All you have to do is blend 2 cups of water in the jug, then rinse to clean.
Makes: 1 large glass. Double the ingredients for an extra serve.
½ cup filtered water
3 stalks of celery chopped into 2-inch pieces
1 cucumber (skin on)
2 Granny Smith apples, core and stem removed
1 lemon, peeled and seeds removed
Ice (optional)
Additional extras:
Kiwi, peeled
Handful of fresh parsley
1cm fresh ginger
1. Wash and chop all the ingredients into small pieces.
2. Add the ingredients into the Vibe Blender jug then secure the lid on.
3. Blend on smoothie mode for approx. 50 seconds.
4. You can enjoy like this or employ the next step to remove the pulp. We used a nut milk bag over a jug, but you can also use a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer. Squeeze until all the juice is in the jug and only dry pulp remains.
5. Pour the juice into a large glass. Add ice cubes if you wish.
6. Blender green juice is best consumed immediately however it will keep for up to 24 hours in a sealed glass jar in the fridge. Separation is normal so give it a good shake before enjoying.
